Shars tools manufacturer is also an OEM that produces highest quality European<br>brands. The manufacture really pays attention to the details onthe retention knob, as shown here on the flange, the<br>straight neck, and the pilot.  Each knob goes through a magnetic particle test after heat treatingto prevent crack line’s<br>and after this testing procedure, each knob will be precision ground on all critical contact surfaces, including the pilot<br>underneath the flange area.  The pilot will ensure the retention knob body makes a better contact with the tool holder<br>next to the threads which will reduce the vibrationand minimize TIR on the overall system (tools holder + retention<br>knob).<br>Other low price import pull stud are made from<br>45 medium carbon steel<br>, but<br>Shars<br>pull stud is made from fine<br>alloy steel, 20CrMnTi<br>with heat treatment to HRC 56-58<br>,<br>which is equal to<br>USA material 8620,<br>better<br>performance than<br>45 medium carbon steel<br>.
